Hello Jason,
Operating an used excavator on slopes requires utmost caution. Here are a few tips: Always conduct a risk assessment of the slope before starting work. Ensure the excavator is in good working condition and the operator is well-trained. When climbing a slope, move straight up or down, avoid sideways movement as it can cause imbalance. Keep the heavy end of the excavator uphill. Use the boom and arm to stabilize the machine if necessary. Limit the swing radius to prevent tipping over. And most importantly, always wear your safety gear.
Stay safe!
